Congratulations to Team Secretary Dave Healey, on passing his first step on the Amateur Radio ladder, the Foundation License. Dave took the weekend off Team activities & work !! to take the course and examination to gain his Amateur Radio Foundation License. The course consisted of elements in licensing conditions, technical basics, propagation, operating practices & procedures and how transmitters, receivers, antennas & feeder cable all work together in harmony. The last element was a practical exercise making a contact with another amateur somewhere in the world & a practical Morse code exercise. Dave now joins the ranks of Founder member Alan James, aka General, and Trainee Team member John Parish, who each hold Full Licenses. Now if Alan James is known as General and he holds the Full Radio Amateurs License, should we start calling Dave, Corporal ??
