Easter Saturday 19^th April and the fine weather of yesterday was replaced by colder, windier weather of today for the annual Rivington Pike Fell Race. As usual we provided Standby Rescue Cover for this event, including both the Junior & Senior (over 200 runners) events. Our 14 members present dealt with the usual cases of ’gravel rash’ requiring wound cleaning, a steady hand & plenty of TLC. The days proceedings ended with the Team enjoying pie & peas! courtesy of the organisers: Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletics Club. As a postscript, we received a wonderful donation of £50 from Horwich RMI & AC, on May 7^th, for our support of the event.
