The team is grateful for the recent donation from the MRC (our parent body) of a full length Vacuum Mattress (Snowsled Ltd), to the latest design, which along with an earlier version donated by the MRC back in 1995, will now enable us to operate VacMats in each of our two First Response Landrover Ambulances.
At the same time, the MRC also donated to the team 200 metres of 11mm Low Stretch Rope, to aid us in our regular Low Stretch Rope replacement programme. (we’ll still have to purchase another 400 metres ourselves, in order to maintain our overall team compliment of 6×100 metre lengths of Lower Ropes, used in stretcher lowering and other rope rescue applications).
