Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th February 2004

The second team social Winter Mountaineering trip returned home a day early today, in advance of being caught out by the extreme winter weather forecasted for all parts northern.
Eleven team members, including some of our “team trainee members/winter virgins” stayed in Grantown-on-Spey, and although they all got out onto the white stuff, the groups plans to go winter climbing were largely thwarted by the stormy blizzard conditions that prevailed throughout the week, eventually forcing their day early retreat.
