Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

28th February 2004

After a break last year, team members Claire Morrissey and Alison Yates, picked up the reigns and set to organising another team Ceilidth this year. Held at St. Marys Church Hall in Horwich, and featuring the talent of our friends in the “Toll Bar Band”, we yet again enjoyed an excellent Ceilidth.
Fully supported by the team, family and friends, all joined in the dancing (and yes Geoff Yates did bring his towel again, – “well it gets hot and sweaty doing all those reeels and jigs!”, he says!).
A raffle on the night included the usual multiple prizes, that now seem to be a successful feature of all team events.
We are pleased to announce that the evening resulted in £350.00 for the team, (once costs had been deducted), which is a wonderful amount to have raised, combined with the fun of watching our Team Leader and Deputy Leader both on the dance floor together making the most of their two left feet.
