Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

5th March 2004

Team members John Carlin, Steve Fletcher, Mark Dooley, Pete McKale and Nick Stafford visited the headquarters of the 25th Warrington East Scout Troop on Friday, to give the Scouts a practical and theoretical demonstration on what to do if they were to come across an incident whilst out and about “on the hill”.
We held 4 small 15 minute workshops, (which were received by a very well behaved, and interested, group of some 28 Scouts) spanning subjects such as how to handle a incident from the outset, how to help MRT’s deal with an incident, a section about team first aid kit & equipment, and also a section on personal hill kit.
The team was thrilled to receive a £30 donation from the troop, and we were pleased even more so, to be named their Christmas Charity for this year!
