Early morning today, the Team Leader was contacted by GMP regarding the possibility of the team being required on the day for a search in the North Manchester area for a missing 12 year old girl. By midday the team had been placed on full standby awaiting the outcome of a police planning meeting. At mid afternoon the team was called out, but as often happens, no sooner were we called than fortunately the 12 year old child (who had been missing overnight) turned up at her home address unharmed. 19 Bolton team members, along with our colleagues in Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, were responding to the full callout at 14:24.
