During the previous incident information became known to the team that an urgent search was being planned regarding a missing 30 year old man in the central Bolton area. Our search dog team including a navigator and a team member who is also a GMP Search Manager were despatched from the Crowthorn incident direct to Bolton to setup an initial control point, with a further full team callout at 02:18 for any members not already involved in the Crowthorn incident.

In total 17 team members including our search dog Chi were involved in a search of the Queen’s Park area and River Croal in central Bolton, commencing at 04:00 and finishing at 05:10, alongside involved GMP officers and Police dog teams (which were searching Heaton Cemetery). After covering these high profile areas the Team was stood down with police enquiries continuing.
