After initially testing a free sample product (the “Blizzard Survival Vest”) from Blizzard Protection Systems Ltd, which was given to the team at last year’s Mountain Rescue Conference, the team then entered a competition run by the company. We have previously reported on the testing of this excellent product and of our winning second prize in their competition.

Today we received our prize in the form of 6 Blizzard Survival Vests, and 4 Blizzard Survival Blankets. These products will be placed in the team’s initial response packs and will be a great addition to our casualty emergency protection equipment. We are very grateful to Blizzard Protection Systems Ltd (Blizzard Survival) of Bethesda, North Wales for their generosity in offering this equipment as a prize.
