On Wednesday 5th January this year the team was involved in a search lasting over 14 hours, for a missing Darwen man, 59 year old Francis Perkins. The search was inconclusive but sadly Mr. Perkins’ body was subsequently recovered from a moorland reservoir by Lancashire Police. The team has received news today of a £190 donation made in the memory of Francis (Frank) Perkins.
The team’s thanks are extended to all who have made this donation in Mr. Perkins’ memory, and our condolences are extended to the family, relatives, neighbours and friends of Mr. Perkins.
