It came as complete surprise to us today to find out that Sue Corsini, a member of Darwen Dashers (hence her knowledge of the team), had decided to run in the London Flora Marathon, specifically to raise money for the team. Through sponsorship, Sue raised £239 which she made up to £250 as a cheque donation to the team. As ever, the team is both surprised and obviously very happy that we have so many excellent supporters out there (some, like Sue, we didn’t even know about!), who are ever willing to raise money for the work of the team, which in turn we can put directly back into supporting those in distress within the local community. A big “well done” Sue, from everybody in the team.
