Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

3rd June 2005

Today we began a comprehensive project to look at how the team packages up its various casualty care and first aid equipment.

At present we operate a number of first aid rucksacks, with supporting equipment such as neck collars and vacuum splints in various other rucksacks. Our oxygen equipment is also kept seperate. Today we commenced the trial of a trauma sack designed by Aguile Alpine (on loan for test, with thanks), which brings together many items of our resuscitation and casualty care equipment in one rucksack.

If this trial proves successful for our purposes and the way we operate, then the team is looking to a minimum purchase of 5 trauma sacks at an overall cost of £1000.
