Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

16th June 2005

This evening our base hosted the third meeting of our newly formed Support Group, with 7 Support Group members present (apologies from one other) along with team members.

A packed agenda occupied the business of the meeting including current team fundraising initiatives and a presentation on the operational workload of the team by our Team Leader.

There was much discussion on what the team wants from its Support Group, and what the Support Group membership can offer the team.

A whole range of team fundraising and presentation activies taking place between now and the next meeting of the Support Group in July, gave the Support Group members many opportunities to volunteer their time to support the team. The meeting ended with a short presentation on some latest team initiatives including an update report on our Control Trailer, how we are getting along with our Investors in People award application, and our team president, Bob Hutchinson, receiving his 25 years in Mountain Rescue certificate.

The Support Group is really buzzing with ideas on how to develop and assist the team, likewise the team membership represented at the meeting by our Team Leader, Garry Rhodes, Chairman Tony McNally, and team members Alan Livesey and Iain Peel, were equally full of suggestions and ideas on how the Support Group can help the team.

We all look forward to the next meeting of the group on Thursday July 21st, starting at 19:30 at our Ladybridge Hall base.
