Whilst returning to our LBH base just before midnight, the two crew onboard our Landrover Ambulance, BM1, stopped along with a GMP police patrol car to assist at a car fire. The vehicle involved was immediately in front of the police car and our ambulance when all involved noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle.

Whilst Police led the woman driver away from the vehicle, utilising the large capacity vehicle fire extinguisher on our Landrover, the two team members were able to tackle the tyre fire before it became too serious. Our members left when a GMP Traffic Unit arrived to assist.
