Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st July 2005

We are sad to announce today the retirement of team member Claire Morrissey, aged 33, a teacher, who joined the team in October 1999, and her partner Daniel Lewis, aged 34, a veterinary surgeon, who joined the team in May 2003. Both have been valued callout list members who contributed their vast hillwalking and mountaineering experience to the benefit of the team.

Claire, the third member of the Morrissey family to be a team member, was a former team council member holding the position of Honorary Secretary, and also organised our very successful Ceilidth and Annual Team Dinner.

Both will be missed within the team and we wish both well with their forthcoming move to the Scottish Highlands, and many happy hill days with their mountain trips planned for this coming summer.
