14 team members, with 4 team vehicles provided standby rescue cover for the popular 5.5 mile long Tockholes Gala Fell Race, taking in an ascent of Darwen Moor. The number of runners taking part this year was lower than normal, with 49 competitors of whom one retired on the event. A few plasters and bandages handed out for grazes were the only incidents of this very warm and sunny day.
