Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th July 2005

Arriving at this evening’s exercise, in light rain, our first arriving members thought our Training Officer had setup a all too realistic exercise on the narrow access road being used as the RVP, until they very quickly realised it was a very real and nasty looking RTA involving a small number of vehicles. Fortunately no-one was injured but the team had to provide traffic control for a quite a while until police arrived at this relatively remote location to investigate the accident and take over traffic control. We have not listed this an official team incident, although members and vehicles were deployed on scene. The exercise itself continued with our members keeping dry, despite the rain, as it was being held in the disused stone mine workings (and an interesting time was had by all).
