In March this year, the team presented a lecture at Lymm Cruising Club, and subsequently we received the news that the team were chosen as the Club’s charity of the year.

Tonight, we were again invited back to the club, where team members John Carlin, Steve Fletcher, Dave Marsh and search dog Chi were treated to an evening of fundraising games and entertainment, courtesy of the members of the club. Before the evening’s events, they had already raised something in the order of £260 for the team!

With games such as stand up bingo, bottle roll, sponsored singing, guess the name of the dog, guess what was in the envelope, the “silly quiz”, and of course the usual raffle, the club almost doubled their original fundraising collection for the team!

After being treated to a pie & peas supper, we were delighted to accept a cheque from the club for a fantastic £518.78p, a testament to their fundraising skills and to the generosity of the club members. In turn the club were presented with a framed “certificate of appreciation” from the team. So, a big thanks to the club from the entire team, for their fantastic donation!
