Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th August 2005

Thankfully the weather was reasonable for our Town Centre collection day, and more importantly we weren’t called out – which happened last year – leading to the event’s unfortunate last-minute cancellation.

With three Team vehicles and the first official public showing of our brand new control trailer, the Team occupied centre stage in Bolton’s main square, directly in front of the imposing Town Hall. Also on display was a full range of our search and rescue equipment which generated much interest from passers by.

In total throughout the day – from 08:00 Hrs until 17:00 Hrs in the early evening, 33 Team members took part in the day’s collection assisted by 12 members of our support group as well as Team member’s partners.

The counting of the money collected is still taking place but we are confident that over £800 has been collected. We will confirm and update this entry as soon as possible.

Many thanks to all the members of the public in Bolton today who gave so generously to support the work of the Team, we are also grateful to Bolton MBC for once again allowing us to collect in the Town Centre.
