At 22:00 a GMP Missing Person Search Manager contacted our Team Leader for assistance with an urgent search required for a missing 22 year old from a house in the Wilderswood/Wallsuches area of Horwich, Bolton, who was missing in circumstances giving Police cause for concern.

In a joint operation with 5 GMP Police Officers, the GMP Air Support Unit Helicopter and the GMP Air Support Unit Fixed-Wing aircraft, coordinated by our Team Leader and the GMP Search Manager, 25 team members in total undertook an intensive search of the moorland fringe above Horwich.

By 02:30 in the morning the search effort was stood down with an inconclusive result, with Police enquiries continuing. We understand that as of mid morning on Sunday 18th June the missing young man was traced by Police to an address in the Chorley area.
