Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

3rd October 2006

At 20:19, the Team was contacted by LANCON to turn out and assist the North West Ambulance Service (Lancashire Locality) with the report of a collapsed casualty on the track network on the outskirts of Darwen leading up to the moorland landmark of Jubilee (Darwen) Tower.

Following a full team pager call out, 23 team members commenced a response to the head of Belgrave Road, Darwen, the Ambulance RVP, in conditions of driving torrential rain and darkness.

During the response our Team Leader in direct contact with NWAS(LL) Accident and Emergency Control was informed that the female casualty concerned had managed to walk to the NWAS Ambulance and that the team was no longer required. A full team Pager stand down was sent at 20:35.
