Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

17th November 2006

This afternoon four team members in our Landrover Ambulance Bolton Mobile 4 departed for an exercise which we believe entails the longest distance we have ever travelled for a Joint Mountain Rescue exercise.

The four, Team Chairman Ken Oakes, our Training Officer Fred Taylor, and team members John Parish and Hayley Mather, all headed way south for an exercise on Dartmoor, organised by the Dartmoor Rescue Group. (which consists of four Mountain Rescue Teams, providing Search and Rescue on the rugged and remote moorlands of Dartmoor)
Other MRTs, principally from the South West of England are also involved in this exercise.

A full report on this exercise will appear soon on our website.
