Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st December 2006

We regret to announce that after much deliberation, we have sadly decided to end our Toner Collection appeal, as of 1st January 2007.

We have had to take this sad decision due to the falling income we are now receiving (Only 5 years ago we could generate circa £4000 in a year, such is the market situation now that this year to date, the amount collected is less than £500, despite the number of donators and the quantity of toners having steadily increased.

To all of you who have faithfully collected Toners for recycling for us, some for a considerable time, others for less, but all equally valued, we are eternally grateful to you all. It was this initiative, started by Team Member Mike Thomason, which helped contribute to the daily running costs of the Team in a very big way.

Other factors which have influenced this sad descision, has been the increasing problem of storage space and a market surplus of used toners, which has had an impact on the monies we receive from recycling collections. We are looking into other fundraising initiatives and hope to bring you that news soon.
