At the conclusion of the previous incident, our BM2 and BM3 vehicles were immediately despatched to give assistance an NWAS (GMA) Rapid Response Vehicle which following an emergency call in the Markland Hill area of Bolton was now stuck on icy roads and the towing and 4WD capabilities of our Landrovers were required.

Both vehicles were stood down responding when news came in that despite the early morning hours (we were called at 00:45), spirited members of the public had managed to get the RRV back onto a less icy section of the road.
