Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

11th February 2007

Whilst providing standby rescue cover at this year’s Winter Hill Fell Race, team members at the Lower House MRT RVP Control & Coordination point were approached by two mountain bikers, one of whom, Mr. Chris Ward, introduced himself as the casualty involved in #article#304#incident 45/2004#, a mountain bike accident on the slopes of Winter Hill during which he suffered a serious dislocated shoulder, which we found out during his visit to us today also involved fractures requiring a serious operation.

Mr. Chris Ward handed over a very kind £10 donation to us as thanks for his rescue on the evening of Wednesday 16th June 2004 and expressed his thanks for our treatment and evacuation of him.
