Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th March 2007

Tonight the team hosted a lecture at it’s base at Ladybridge Hall, for around 30 young people from the 3rd Farnworth Scout Group.

The Cubs, Scouts and Leaders were given a short talk on the work that the team does, and then on hill craft and mountain safety in general. They were then given a hands on demonstration of some of the items of equipment that the team carries on and in its four Landrover ambulances.

The Scouts try their hand at carrying a “casualty” on a Bell Mountain Rescue Stretcher

The Scout Group will be hosting a sponsored bike ride in April and we were very happy to hear that the team will be benefitting from some of the funds raised on this event.

So a big “thank you” in advance to the Cubs and Scouts from everybody at Bolton MRT, and we hope to see some of you soon on the Pike View Hike at Bibby’s Farm!
