Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

The Team was out and about for the usual Good Friday Rivington Pike Events, when North West Ambulance Service (Greater Manchester Area), contacted the Team for assistance with a report of a male with a leg injury on Georges Lane, Rivington.

The first vehicle arrived on scene at 16:46 and was faced with a large group of youngsters who had been enjoying the excellent Good Friday weather. The youth was located and found to have a serious leg laceration, he was treated and quickly loaded into the vehicle, for onwards transportation to Chorley Hospital.

Our other vehicles were stood down on scene, also a responding NWAS Ambulance was also stood down. 11 Team members responded to this incident and at its conclusion, returned back to the peace and calm of the Pike Celebrations.
