On Saturday 13th October we reported that Dave Evans, a member of The Mountaineering Club of Bury, organised a ’Night of Rock’ event on behalf of the MC of Bury at Westhoughton Conservative Club.

We reported that thanks to the excellent entertainment provided by the two bands present, The Outlaws and The Three Black Dwarves, the magnificent sum of £177.00 was raised for the team.

Today we received an even greater surprise with the fantastic news that in addition to this donation, The Three Black Dwarves band returned £50.00 to Dave Evans from their fee for the night, to pass on as an additional donation to the team.

This now means that with thanks to everybody who supported this event, and with special thanks to The Three Black Dwarves band for their kind donation, a total donation of £227.00 was raised for the team at this event.
