Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd December 2007

Tonight the team placed 4 vehicles on standby at our Ladybridge Hall base, to assist NWAS with pre-arranged Christmas cover during an anticipated period of peak demand upon the ambulance service resources.

Starting at 18:30, 16 team members were held on standby until 23:00, but due to the predicted demand not materialising, the team was not asked to attend any calls on behalf of the ambulance service.

Instead team members enjoyed a nice quiet night in at the base and were wonderfully looked after by team Support Group member Johanne Lamb who provided a fantastic selection of hot meals and drinks to all present during the course of the evening.

As no calls were attended by the team, our time spent on standby has not been recorded in our annual incident statistics.
