Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st May 2008

Today Garry Rhodes, our TL, was at Buckingham Palace to receive his MBE, which was awarded to him in the 2008 New Years Honours List for service to the Bolton MRT.

Garry, his partner Ann and Garry’s mum & dad, Frances & Vernon, had travelled to London the day before his Investiture. Ann, Frances & Vernon were present to see Garry receive his MBE from Her Majesty the Queen.

Garry said that Her Majesty had asked about the work we do including the rural and urban workings with the statutory 999 services. He ended by saying it was a very proud day for him and he was very proud to be a member of the Bolton MRT
