Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st March 2009

This sunny afternoon, five team members Chris Greenhalgh, Fred Taylor, John Parish, Samantha McKay and Joanne Stones journeyed to Cadshaw Quarry near Darwen, for some rope rescue training. They set up a suitable anchor system and proceded to practice various abseiling and ascent techniques followed by simulated single person rescues.

Normally after setting up the system and the first people descend over the edge, the pagers go off but luckily the day was incident free and the weather was fine allowing us plenty time to train.
