Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

10th March 2009

This evening experienced team members Mike Marsh and Mark Scott visited the
Parish Hall, Church Street, Horwich, HQ of the 6th Horwich Lever Scout Troop
at the invitation of Leader Margaret Broadfoot, organised in turn through
team member Ged Clarke.

Mike and Mark specifically visited the young Scouts to cover essential First
Aid skills and basic hillcraft and safety, and were both impressed by the
enthusiasm and interest shown by the Scouts and Leaders present.

At the end of their evening visit Mike and Mark were very pleased to receive
a kind £25.00 donation from 6th Horwich Lever Scout Troop.

We subsequently received a very kind email from Margaret Broadfoot via Ged
Clarke regards the visit by team members Mike and Mark;

“Hi Ged, I hope you are well. From the Leaders of 6th Horwich Lever Scout
Troop please convey our thanks to BMRT in general and Mike and Mark in
particular for their assistance on Tuesday night. It was much appreciated
and hopefully had the desired effect of getting the First Aid message across
to the Scouts.

Thanks to you also for organising it for us. Regards Margaret.”
