Whilst on the Rivington Pike Fell Race Safety Cover today, the team was visited by the Mountain biker, Mr Alan Thompson, who was involved in our incident 11/2009 on 17th January 2009.

He explained that he had been passing some horse riders and became unseated injuring his ankle.

After 13 weeks rehabilitation the biker was back cycling the West Pennine Moors, and came across our Landrover ambulances on Georges Lane. The mountain biker made a point of personally thanking the team for our assistance. Alan had previously sent us a donation of £100, see news item on 11th February 2009.
