At 14:31 today the team was paged by Lancashire Constabulary requesting in turn that we contact the Ambulance service regarding a need for our assistance.

We established from NWAS Lancashire that the team was required to assist NWAS Lancashire with the reports of a male fitting in the vicinity of Darwen Tower.

By 14:36 a full team call out message resulted in 18 team members responding including 3 of our Mountain Rescue Landrover ambulances.

The team responded to two separate RVPs, at Roddlesworth Information Centre and Belgrave Road, Darwen, in order to meet responding NWAS emergency vehicles.

At 14:50 we were stood down following reports that the person involved had now managed to walk down to Roddlesworth with the assistance of two colleagues. (here they met one of the two responding NWAS vehicles).
