Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

2nd May 2009

This morning with the Oldham MRT International Seminar, their very successful rope rescue course as the backdrop, Chief Constable Peter Fahy of Greater Manchester Police met with our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon, Mick Nield Team Leader of Oldham MRT and Andy Simpson Team Leader of the Rossendale & Pendle MRT at Upperwood Quarry, Holmfirth Road, within the Peak District, to be introduced to the roles of MRTs within Greater Manchester and how we work to assist Greater Manchester Police, search operations and rescues.

The Chief Constable was very interested in the work of the MRTs in Greater Manchester, and pledged his support in furtherance of the already excellent liaison we all jointly enjoy with GMP.
