The team’s medical equipment officer Mark Scott had a surprise this evening as his wife Megan settled into some violin practice with her friends at home.
Fellow player Dr Gabrielle Lipshen explained how a little misfortune resulted in her car giving a gentle nudge, sort of, to another car in the consultant’s car park at Royal Bolton Hospital. The owner of the car Gabrielle had nudged was very nice about it and declined her offer to pay for the damage. When pressed, he asked that she make a donation to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
Who was this mystery philanthropist? None other than long-term supporter of the Team Dr David Bisset who has been supporting us ever since we rescued his son who fell while rock climbing at Ousel’s Nest Quarry, overlooking Jumbles Reservoir, in August 2005!
So, Gabrielle and David, huge thanks to you both from the all the team’s membership for the donation of £50 which with Gift Aid becomes £64!
