Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

15th July 2009

This morning a small group of pupils and staff from Rumworth School visited our base / HQ at Ladybridge Hall. The pupils were working on a project at school involving the work of the Emergency Services and as part of this project they were interested in the work of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

The pupils were shown around our base by Team Vice President Tony McNally and experienced call out list member Chris Tennant, who both explained the work the Team is involved in. Great interest was shown in the Team’s equipment and in particular the Team’s vehicles with flashing blue lights and sirens.

After soft drinks, biscuits and a tour of the base the children and staff returned to their school hopefully a little wiser about the work that Bolton Mountain Rescue Team undertakes within the community.

Both Tony and Chris commented afterwards that all the children who attended are to be congratulated on the manner in which they conducted themselves and the interest they showed during their visit to the team.
