At 11:50 hours today, whilst providing cover for the annual Rivington Pike Fair celebrations, our Deputy Team Leader was contacted by NWAS (Greater Manchester) for assistance with an adult that had slipped on the descent from Rivington Pike on the muddy track in the vicinity of Higher Knoll Farm. Two team members were on scene within 7 minutes of the call and two Landrover Ambulances arrived within 10 minutes.

The casualty, with suspected right ankle fracture, was splinted and transported to our vehicle on a Troll Alphin Stretcher, and then transported to Royal Bolton Hospital in our Landrover Ambulance BM1.
