This evening experienced Team Call Out list member Chris Tennant and Trainee Team member Helen Rigby journeyed to the Annual General Meeting of the Warrington West District Scout Council to receive a donation to the team.
Following the business of the AGM at the Warrington Methodist Mission, Bold Street, Warrington, Chris gave a short presentation to all assembled on the work of the team.
Maureen Patheyjohns, District Secretary of Warrington West District Scout Council then handed to team representatives Chris and Helen, a very generous fantastic donation of £670.00.
This donation from Warrington District Scouts arose from a member of Warrington District Scouts who upon reaching her 80th Birthday, kindly requested that donations be made in support of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in lieu of presents to her.
This very kind lady wishes to remain anonymous, with all the team membership wishing her a very happy (belated) 80th Birthday, and expressing our heartfelt and sincere thanks for such a wonderful and thoughtful kind and very much appreciated gesture.
At the conclusion of their visit Chris and Helen extended a warm welcome to any of the Scout Groups represented at the AGM of the Warrington West District Scout Council to come and visit us in the future at our Ladybridge Hall, Bolton, Base / HQ.
