Blackpool Council recently donated a very large number of ’Space Blankets,’
surplus to their requirements, to Lancashire Constabulary for onward
distribution to the Mountain Rescue Teams who work in Lancashire.

As a result this evening, along with our colleagues at Bowland Pennine
Mountain Rescue Team and Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, we each
received a very kind donation of 100x ’Space Blankets’ per MRT.

The Bolton MRT is very grateful to Blackpool Council for this kind donation,
and to Inspector Neil Sherry at Lancashire Constabulary for arranging the
distribution of these items to the MRTs involved.
