9th August 2010

In our website news article of Tuesday June 22nd 2010, at which the Committee members of the Edgworth Real Ale Festival were reported to have officially handed over to us our Search and Rescue Boat and six sets of appropriate personal equipment, (Drysuits, helmets, etc) all purchased from the proceeds of the 2009 Edgworth Real Ale Festival, we told our readers to keep watching this website for more important news.

Well today we can announce the absolutely fantastic news that once again the Committee of the Edgworth Real Ale Festival have very kindly chosen to support the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, by announcing that ourselves and our colleagues at the North West Air Ambulance are to be the joint charity beneficiaries of the proceeds of this years Edgworth Real Ale Festival.

Due to be held over the weekend of Friday to Sunday 24th to 26th September 2010, at the Barlow Institute, Edgworth, this years festival promises a re run of last years ’War of the Roses’ beer competition with Lancashire Ales competing with Yorkshire Ales, and will feature food, live music, and a wide selection of beers, wines and ciders.

Throughout the weekend the team will have Team vehicles on show and team members on hand to answer any questions. we are even providing bar staff on part of Saturday. (No sampling allowed!)

The whole team membership wishes to pass on its sincere and heartfelt thanks to all associated with the Edgworth Real Ale Festival for so kindly supporting us again this year.
