Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

26th August 2010

In the early hours of this morning, at 00:00 hours, the team was paged by Lancashire Constabulary in relation to a missing male, with the police having cause for concern for his welfare.

The call was dealt with by our Deputy Team Leader, Geoff Seddon, who forewarned the Call Out list membership for a possible search of the Sunnyhurst Woods area of Darwen.

At 00:26 Geoff contacted the team with further information gathered from the police, that they had been able to ’ping’ the missing person’s phone which indicated he was in an urban area, so Lancashire Constabulary did not require our services at this time.
