Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st September 2010

At 13.53hrs this workday afternoon the team was paged by NWAS (Lancashire) regarding an incident at the northern end of Anglezarke Reservoir, with the North West Air Ambulance on scene dealing with a 42 year old women walker who had injured her ankle, and who required a stretcher carry to the waiting Air Ambulance Helicopter.

As this incident was not in our primary area of responsibility, our Team Leader Garry rhodes MBE advised NWAS (Lancashire) to contact our colleagues at Bowland Pennine MRT. In the interim our Team Leader then contacted the Team Leader Phil O’Brien of Bowland Pennine MRT direct to inform him of the incident and offer the teams assistance. (Which was deemed not required)

As it turned out, one of our Team Call Out List members, Andy Kench, who was coincidentally passing the incident scene, offered his assistance which was taken up, to the small number of Bowland Pennine MRT members who responded to this incident.

This incident has been recorded here for information purposes only and does not appear in our incident statisitics.
