This evening the team welcomed to our Ladybridge Hall Base/HQ as a special guest and friend, Councillor Barbara Ronson (of Bolton Council and Horwich Council) visiting us in her capacity as President of Horwich Carnival Races.
Councillor Barbara Ronson was met by our Chairman Ken Oakes and our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE.

Barbara then kindly presented to the team a fantastic donation of £500.00 from Horwich Carnival Races following our involvement in this year’s races for providing standby rescue cover provision. (See website ’news’ article dated Sunday 20th June 2010)

The whole team membership wishes to extend its thanks to all involved with the Horwich Carnival Races for once again kindly supporting the Bolton MRT.

The team is very happy to be associated with this event, and will be on hand to provide similar cover for next year’s event, which is currently scheduled for Sunday 19th June 2011.
