Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

23rd October 2010

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a very kind letter of thanks personally signed by the following members of NEWSAR (North East Wales Search and Rescue) Chris Griffiths, Daniel Knox, Gaz Lewis, Lauren Richardson, Andy Trinder and Mike Waters who attended the recent Joint Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue as trainees.

In their kind letter they state:

“After attending the MR Foundation Course at Bibbys Farm over the weekend, we thought that a letter of thanks to all involved was in order.

The entire team of Instructors, Mentors and Guest Speakers did a wonderful job and made the course extremely informative and enjoyable. It is obvious that a huge amount of organisation and ’behind the scenes’ work went into producing a course that ran so smoothly and professionally and our thanks go to all involved.

A special thank you also to the catering staff who provided limitless food and drinks throughout the weekend with such enthusiasm. The Bay Leaf episode was a classic!

On behalf of all the NEWSAR members attending, please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, who should be proud of producing such an excellent event.”

(Please also see related website articles giving thanks for this course over the last week, from Diane Baker of Rossendale and Pendle MRT, Chris Griffiths of NEWSART, Leslie Wilson of Calder Valley SRT and Jo McClure of Cheshire SART, along with the comments reported from Trainees at the end of the course itself, to be found within the Joint Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue 2010 main report)
