This afternoon two Fire Officers, Martyn Ward and James Hutton, of the Operational Support Section, Emergency Response Directorate of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service visited our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to meet with our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon and Team Training Officer Elaine Gilliland.

The purpose of their visit was to review the Memorandum of Understanding that exists between Mountain Rescue Teams in Greater Manchester and GMFRS, with particular emphasis on relationships with the Bolton MRT.

This meeting is one of many currently taking place between our team (and others) and GMFRS with the aim of further developing existing joint working practices and co-operation on multi agency emergency responses.
