Today five of our team members attended the November meeting of the MREW at Lancashire Constabulary HQ at Hutton, Lancashire.

Held twice a year, various Sub-Committees meet within the morning to convene and report to the main business meeting in the afternoon.

Our Team Doctor, Clare Whitney attended the Medical Sub-Committee meeting, with Mike Marsh attending the Training Sub-Committee, principally to discuss the Annual MREW National Party Leaders Course, scheduled for summer 2011, and which mike Marsh is the principal organiser.

Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and Training Officer Elaine Gilliland, attended as observers the Vehicle Sub-Committee meeting, whilst our Chairman Ken Oakes attended the same meeting as a member of the vehicles Sub-Committee.

Garry, Elaine and Ken all stayed for the afternoon main Business Meeting of Mountain Rescue England and Wales.
