This afternoon the team had the pleasure of a visit by Past President Keith Clarkson of The Rotary Club of Bolton le Moors, who came along to make a fantastic cheque donation to the team.

Past President Keith Clarkson commented on the previous support of The Rotary Club of Bolton le Moors shown to Bolton MRT including a donation of £200.00 earlier this year and a £75.00 donation last year.

Although Keith Clarkson is aware of the work of the team through his son Iain Clarkson, who is a long-serving member of our Support Group, Keith had never actually visited our Ladybridge Hall Base/HQ.

Handing over the wonderful and very thoughtful donation of £500.00 to our Team Chairman Ken Oakes, with Iain Clarkson also present at the handover, Keith Clarkson then handed over to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE a pennant flag from the Rotary Club of Bolton le Moors to join similar pennant flags on the walls of our Base/HQ.

This very kind donation has totally funded the purchase of five brand new Garmin satellite navigation devices for each of our five team vehicles, greatly enhancing the team’s response to incidents.

The team would like to thank all the Rotarians at The Rotary Club of Bolton le Moors for their very kind and appreciated continuing support of the Bolton MRT.
