At 05.16hrs this morning our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was contacted directly by a Greater Manchester Police Missing Person Search Manager regarding a missing 91 year old man in the Bolton area.
The man had been reported missing from a Care Home in Bolton to the Police at circa 04.00hrs this same morning, and given that there had been an overnight / early morning snowfall and temperatures were around -2c there was mounting concern for his welfare.
With GMP Officers concentrating their immediate search around the area of the junction of Chorley New Road and Chorley Old Road, Bolton, a full team pager call out was initiated at 05.30hrs, followed within minutes by the excellent news that a GMP patrol had located the missing man in the area, very cold but otherwise ok.
At 05.35hrs a full team pager stand down was made, with warm beds rather than the cold streets of Bolton being the happy outcome.
