At 15:11 this wintry afternoon, the team was paged by NWAS (Manchester) Control requesting assistance due to a high volume of calls on the Ambulance Service, directly attributed to the snowy ground conditions.
Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE agreed that the team was able to respond to this request early in the evening, with three team members; Elaine Gilliland, Diane Blakeley and Steve Fletcher crewing our BM1 Land Rover MR Ambulance, operating out of our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, under the direction of very experienced team member Mike Marsh and Paul Brain, who were in liaison with NWAS (Manchester) Control.
Two incidents were dealt with in the period 19:20 to 22:26, a lady with breathing difficulties and and a lady who slipped and dislocated her shoulder. Both casualties were transferred to Royal Bolton Hospital in our Landrover ambulance.
This incident report covers Incidents 107 and 108, with all members involved finally heading for home at 23:20.
